So... Where the hell have we been?

Yeah yeah... been a long time! well Shite happens to us all and Life got nuts! I'll give you a little update on my situ but will leave Lyn's update to her.
Divorce happens to the best and worst of us, and me! Hey 52% of us will agree that mariage is no guarentee. Even with God or Jehovah on your side! (inside joke sorry no disrespect)
The last few years have had me a little distracted to say the least. Not a lot of time for fun and games with the video camera, for awhile anyway. Perhaps I'll find some humor in the situation soon enough. All situations have humor somewhere... I guess I'm not quite ready to look for it yet.
What happened? well, I can save the details for my homeies but for all you Ladies out there... We go through so much as wives, women and mothers... sometimes we have to check in with ourselves to see how we are doing... I checked in... and realised I had been checked out for quite awhile.
It was my decision in the end and a brutal hugely painful one at that. No one does well in these things especially the children. I had to ask myself what I would do if my grown up daughter came to me 30 years later saying she wasn't happy and couldn't do it anymore but it would be too devastating for the family and all involved, so should she just suck it up and do her best in what she has and be grateful?... I would tell her to do what I ended up doing.
Be damn sure you are doing the only thing you think you can!

And now... fast forward 3 years later and here I am. Happy. To my ex Mother-in-law... whom I dearly love, an angel truly.... I am no longer in the pursuit of a happiness that doesn't exsist.  It does exist and this restless soul can chill.

Ladies St Paddy's Day Get Away

The Ladies have taken a break from the everyday for another little trip to the City. We are doing this so often these days, it hardly seems like a concert is a reason or an excuse... just a side note.
Lyn and Jill meet up with 4 dear friends from WAY back and start the night off right... cheap champagne, pricey tequila and reasonable beer.... Happy St. Paddy's Day!!
This is the night when Lyn gets to show off her heritage.. and "Yes!" she says "I have a little Irish in me... and no! I don't want anymore... Yes, its natural... and No! I won't prove it!!"

(Disclaimer... I regret that the ASL isn't really at par with how it should be... but I was a little caught in the moment, and was a surprise addition to the "show") (my apologies to those who know sign)

Trippin Up the Road

The real Lyn and Jill went for a drive to Penticton back in November of 2009. Here's some bits a pieces. Sadly there is no video of the trip home as we were way to hungover to properly manage commentary and filming... there is also no footage of what caused us to be in such a reckless state on the way home either.

We were warned by moronic know-it-alls that said we shouldn't be driving all the way from Vancouver 5 hours North East to Penticton in Novemeber... due to inclimate weather and terrible snow storms etc...
Well suck it bitches. The weather Goddess was on our side... this time.

Lisa's Night Out

Amature Film maker Maggie MacDonald follows Lisa, a little out of touch but otherwise harmless wife, and mother of three, as she embarks on her first social gathering without her husband and children.
In this hardhitting and very personal film we see Lisa's journey from Mom to Party Mom, as with any new journey we take, the trip can be bumpy.
Thank-you Lisa for showing us just how difficult this transition can be.
